CRAVE – June 2024
CRAVE The Event is an annual outdoor extravaganza combining the best in food, entertainment, culture, and music. It’s a Canada Day celebration with a unique and vibrant Caribbean twist where all Canadians can come together to celebrate the dynamic melting pot that is our beautiful country.
The CSF working in conjunction with CRAVE The Event will use this venture as an avenue to raise funds and awareness to achieve our shared goal of improving the lives of youths through education scholarships and bursaries. We at the CSF, are delighted and grateful that this team has decided to work with us to make a difference in the lives of many.
JUNIOR CHEF – August 4, 2024
CSF is proud to support the Grace Junior Chef Culinary competition by providing bursaries to the winners. The event is part of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Junior showcase. The competition provides the opportunity for young aspiring chefs between the ages of 8-15 to showcase their culinary skills and Caribbean cuisine. CSF will once again be providing bursaries for the winners of the 2022 competition.
TRINBAGO FESTIVAL – September 7 to 8, 2024
Since 2022, the Tribago Toronto Cultural Festival has been held in downtown Toronto to celebrate Trinidad & Tobago’s Independence. The event is held under the auspices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, in partnership with Tourism Trinidad Limited and the Tobago Tourism Agency Ltd.
Held annually at Yonge & Dundas Square, now renamed Sankofa Square, the two day event has grown from 18,000 visitors to over 22,000 in just one year.
The overwhelming response from the Trinbagonian community, Caribbean community and Ontario residents of all backgrounds has led to Trinbago being named one of the cities best summer events by NOW Magazine.
During Trinbago, the rich culture of Trinidad & Tobago is on full display, with music, food and dance. Attendees will be jumping and waving to Soca, Calypso and Steelpan courtesy of local and international artists. Visitors will also savour a variety of authentic delicacies from Trinidad and Tobago.
SPIRITS & SPICE – December 7, 2024
The Caribbean Scholarship Foundation (CSF) hosts its annual holiday fundraiser with a traditional Caribbean flare.
Combining the excitement, beauty, and splendor of the Caribbean with the warmth and cheer of the holiday season, guests will enjoy the pleasant aromas of Caribbean spices, the delectable taste of exotic island cuisine, and an authentic cultural celebration. Guests will also learn more about Caribbean cuisine and customs; dance the night away to the rhythmic beat; mix and mingle with friends, special invitees, and of course, a sample from dozens of the world’s finest Caribbean spirits and cocktails.
There will be plenty of entertainment throughout the evening, in addition to fun and exciting contests. The Spirits and Spice Fundraiser offers a unique and exciting opportunity to enjoy an authentic Caribbean experience, while directly making an investment in the lives of thousands of Caribbean people through Education and Economic Development.
